The Iraqi government condemned the attacks of the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) against the Peshmerga forces in Dohuk Governorate today, Thursday.
The media office of the Prime Minister stated, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that "the Iraqi government condemned the attack carried out by militants belonging to the PKK, targeting the Peshmerga forces in Dohuk governorate, which resulted in casualties between a martyr and a wounded person."
The Iraqi government affirmed its "strong rejection of the attack that took place inside Iraqi territory, and it’s considered it an attack on the country's sovereignty, and pledged to take measures that would put an end to the attacks that are a breach of the country's security and sovereignty.
