Ministry of Electricity announced upon conducting maintenance work on the electrical network in Tahrir Square, Baghdad and the areas nearby.
“The engineering and technical staff of the General Company for the Distribution of Baghdad Electricity and the teams of lighting, maintenance and cables, rushed to conduct a complete mobilization to initiate immediate maintenance work on the electricity distribution network of the neighborhoods surrounding Tahrir Square and the Jumhuriya Bridge," included a statement by the Ministry received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
The works included reconnecting the lighting cables to both sides of the bridge, replenishing them with electric current, removing broken and damaged cables and circuit breakers as well as replacing them with new ones, in addition to providing the Turkish restaurant and high Al-Aqeeda school and improving their lighting, according to the statement.
