Today, Monday, Abdul-Ghani Al-Asadi began his duties as head of the National Security Agency.
The agency said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that "Al-Asadi started his duties as head of the Iraqi National Security Agency, this morning, and met upon his arrival with the directors of the departments and directorates."
Al-Asadi stressed the necessity to focus on the basic tasks entrusted to the agency, which contribute to preserving security and internal stability, and he also reviewed the risks to the country and the need to confront them and address them by intensifying the intelligence effort.
