Today, Thursday, Al-Rafidain Operations Command denied that Al-Hout prison in Dhi Qar Governorate was attacked.
Al-Rafidain Operations Commander Major General Jabbar Al-Tai said in a statement to the Iraqi News Agency: "The reports that a terrorist group attacked the Nasiriyah Central Prison (Al-Hout Prison) are unfounded," noting that "a clan conflict between members of Al-Ghazzi clan signed this morning a piece of land.
Al-Ta’i indicated that he “made contact with the sheikh of the clan, who explained that the matter was resolved, and there is no dispute between the clan's sons,” stressing that “there are no arrests going on.”He added that "the general situation in the city of Nasiriyah is stable, and there are no accidents, except for minor criminal incidents," noting that "the oil installations and demonstration grounds are fully insured."
Some media outlets had reported that a terrorist group had attacked Al-Hout Prison in Dhi Qar Governorate, and then arrested 8 of them in the desert.
