EU warns against slipping into an international confrontation in Idlib

     With Turkey fulfilling its promises and allowing the flow of refugees to Europe, the European Union announced that it would consider all measures necessary to protect its security interests.

     European Union foreign policy chief Joseph Borrell published two tweets, one of which called for an urgent halt to the escalation in Idlib, and warned against slipping into a major open international military confrontation.

     The European Union foreign affairs official pointed out the consequences of the escalation in Idlib of intolerable human suffering and endangering civilians.
