Senior officials of the ministries of economy of the Arab countries discussed on Wednesday,seven files at the headquarters of the Arab League for the economic and social file submitted to the second joint meeting of Arab and African ministers of Economy, Trade And Finance for the Arab-African summit at its fifth session scheduled in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia this year.
Ambassador and Assistant Secretary-General of Arab League Kamal Hassan Ali, confirmed to Iraqi News Agency (INA), "the importance of the meeting to prepare the economic file for the summit.
He explained the importance and depth of Arab-African relations that are characterized by many commonalities in all economic, social and political fields, as well as the volume of trade exchange and great cooperation between the two sides, especially since there are ten Arab African countries.
"The African continent includes one billion and 200 citizens, and therefore it is a large and promising market for commercial exchange, just as the Arab region is rich in its resources. Therefore, cooperation between the two regions will have fruitful and positive results on both," he added.
He pointed out the importance of a good preparation for the summit, so that it can be properly produced in the Arab world, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the Arab League.
"The economic file submitted to the second joint meeting of Arab and African ministers of economy, trade and finance for the summit includes many important issues," he added, "The meeting will prepare a document in cooperation with the African Union to raise an agreed formula between Arab League and African Union for the second joint meeting of the Arabs and Africans ministers of economy, trade and finance to the summit,"
