The Parliamentary Finance Committee affirmed, today, Friday, that the (twelve) budget is the alternative solution in case of delay in approving the budget that the government will resort to.
Member of the Parliamentary Finance Committee, Ahmed Al-Hajj told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The alternative solution in case the budget approval is delayed is the government's resort to using the twelve-year budget, which is spending one on twelve of the actual expenditures for the past year, that is, from the 2019 budget only for expenditures Operational ", noting that" service and investment projects will be excluded from them. "
He added that "the budget for each country prepares a material plan for the government and consequently all service and investment projects will be incorporated into the draft law, so any delay in its approval will negatively affect existing services."
He continued that "the current government is conducting business, and it cannot send the budget bill to the House of Representatives according to the rules of procedure of Article 42, the second paragraph," that the caretaker governments do not have the authority to send budget projects.
