The parliament votes to host the Prime Minister and ends the reading of the unified retirement laws and the abolition of financial privileges of officials

    The House of Representatives headed by Mohammed Al-Halbousi voted  in the presence of 185 deputies to host the Prime Minister as he finished the first reading of the first amendment to the unified retirement law and the law to cancel the financial privileges of officials.

     

    The media department said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency that at the beginning of the session, Halbousi said that the vote of the House of Representatives on the reforms package was based on legal and constitutional cover, especially dissolving the provincial councils under article 20 of the law of provincial councils not organized in the province, pointing out that the vote on The decision of the House of Representatives to monitor the performance of the Conservatives will be based on Article 61 of the Constitution.

    Al-Halbousi pointed out that the committee formed by amending the constitution should undertake its tasks provided that it will draw on the competencies of universities, civil society organizations and specialists, pointing out that the presidency of the council provides all the necessary requirements to implement the tasks of the committee to amend the constitution in addition to proceeding with legislation to amend the law of beneficiaries of the social justice law, including Rafha detainees.

     

    The Council voted to host the Prime Minister at the request of a number of deputies and to announce the commencement of immediate action related to the abolition of privileges of members of the House of Representatives and stop them immediately.
