Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs and Oil Minister Thamer Abbas Ghadhban, on Wednesday, Iraq's keenness to strengthen bilateral relations with Turkey in all areas, including the energy sector and oil. This came during a press conference with his Turkish counterpart Fatih Donmaz after the end of the joint meeting between the two sides.
Ghadhban said that the talks were useful and constructive as the two sides reviewed topics, files and projects of common interest, including the project of the new Iraqi oil export pipeline system Kirkuk - Ceyhan, which arrived at an advanced stage of technical preparation and discussion of tenders, which is within the plans and executive projects for next year, as well. About the pipeline project Rumaila - Aqaba and these important strategic projects aimed at sustaining the export of Iraqi oil and multiple export ports.
