Al-Kaabi: The new legislative chapter will be devoted to passing laws that were called controversial

    The first deputy speaker of the House of Representatives, Hassan Karim al-Kaabi, said Wednesday that the new legislative chapter will be allocated to the adoption of laws that were called controversial.

    The Information Office of the First Deputy in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency a copy of it, that Kaabi during his meeting with the Chairman of the General Authority for the wisdom of Sheikh Hamid Maaleh Saadi, that what distinguishes the current parliamentary session is that all deputies, regardless of their affiliations agreed on the goal One is to make a qualitative leap in the legislative and supervisory system and move forward with the legislation of all laws that serve the various segments of the country.

    He explained that the plan set by the Presidency of the Council of Representatives and members of the House for the next stage is to discuss all laws that did not find its way to legislation, which was called controversial laws, stressing the existence of a determination to pass through understanding and agreement and the prevalence of the interest of the nation and the Iraqi people.

    The statement added that the new legislative chapter will witness a study of the so-called controversial laws that did not find their way to the legislation because of the existence of concerns or differences, and will be enacted through a single mechanism that depends on the primacy of the interest of the nation and the people and the preservation of wealth and the removal of all other sub-interests, among these laws It is the law on oil and gas, the law on imports of border ports and other laws.
