The Committee of Culture, Information, Tourism and Antiquities in the House of Representatives reviewed a river tour on the banks of the Tigris River on Wednesday in Baghdad accompanied by representatives of the ministries of culture, tourism, archeology, transport and water resources and the Municipality of Baghdad.
The committee is determined to implement the development of the banks of the Tigris through the formation of a high committee, which oversees the implementation of plans drawn up and will be implemented by the specialized teams of ministries and relevant bodies.
For his part, member of the Committee MP Ali al-Hamaidawi that the first step, which we will work according to the available possibilities is a quick plan that will work to lift the violations and ensure the official approvals of the renewed facilities and facilities built on the banks, as well as a campaign to remove waste and plankton from the river shore and its surface.
