Al-Halbousi and Jeffrey discuss border security file

     Parliament speaker Mohamed al-Halbousi discussed on Sunday with the US envoy to Syria and Iraq James Jeffrey the file of border security in the presence of US Ambassador to Iraq Mr. Matthew Toller.

    The meeting discussed the developments in the region and coordination of issues of mutual interest to enhance security and stability, in a statement of parliament speaker office said.

    During meeting they discussed the importance of continuation of the international coalition to provide support to the Iraqi security forces in fight against terrorism and the file of securing the border, eliminating terrorism and emphasis of the commitment Iraq sovereignty.
