Security Media Cell: Large Scale Operation Launched

INA, Baghdad-

Iraqi Security Media Cell (SMC) announced on early Sunday the launching of first stage of operation ‘Determined Victory’ to clear areas surrounded by Salah Addin, Nineveh and Anbar provinces.

In a statement by (SMC), a copy of which received by INA, Lt Gen Abdul-Amir Rasheed Yar Allah declared that “Today, Sunday 7^th of July, the first stage of operation ‘Determined Victory’ has been launched to clear all areas surrounded by Salah Addin, Nineveh and Anbar provinces reaching up to the Iraq-Syria international borders.’

“The wide scale military operation” Yar Allah added, “was launched with participation of large formations of army resources affiliated with Al-Jazeerah, Nineveh, and Salah Al-Din, along with large formations of the Popular Mobilization Units (PMU) represented by the axial commands of Nineveh, Salah Al-Din and Al-Jazeerah, in addition to the ‘Tribal Hashd’ receiving support from US-led coalition air force and military gun-ships. The operation will take few days and we shall be updating you with prompt details.’
