The Deputy Speaker of Parliament Bashir Haddad on Thursday expressed deep regret for the sinking of a passenger in the Tigris River in Nineveh province, and led to the sinking of more than 80 people, mostly women and children.
According to his press office in a statement received that "Haddadi is following with concern the details of the incident with officials in Nineveh, Erbil and Dohuk administration in order to coordinate and send rescue teams."
He added that "the Nineveh province and the concerned authorities to expedite the administration demanded an immediate investigation and to hold negligent in the tragic incident," stressing "the need to take the necessary measures to prevent the occurrence of similar incidents in the future measures."
