The Eastern Salah al-Din Operations Command announced on Friday details of its plan to secure public places and entertainment facilities during Eid al-Fitr, noting that preemptive operations had been carried out that resulted in the killing of 10 terrorists.
The Commander of Eastern Salah al-Din Operations, Major General Ali Muthjal al-Maliki, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): that "The plan includes securing public places and entertainment areas during the Eid days within the areas of responsibility in the areas of Tuz, Sulayman Bek, Daquq, and other areas and neighboring villages."
He added that "the Salah al-Din Operations Command carried out preemptive operations as part of the Eid security plan, targeting terrorist hideouts in the governorate, resulting in the killing of two terrorists, in addition to the killing of eight others in airstrikes within the area of responsibility."
He pointed out that "there is high-level security coordination between the Salah al-Din Operations Command and both the Diyala and Kirkuk Operations Commands to secure the governorate."
