The Turkish newspaper Al-Sabah announced on Saturday the arrest of the perpetrators involved in the attack on the Iraqi consulate in Istanbul.
In a report translated by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), the newspaper stated: "The Iraqi consulate in Şişli, Istanbul, was attacked with firearms by two individuals on a motorcycle, resulting in nine bullets striking the consulate building. No injuries were reported."
The report added that "teams from the Anti-Organized Crime Department launched an investigation into the incident and successfully apprehended the attackers, who were involved in an accident while attempting to flee."
It further noted that "the perpetrators, identified as members of the Dalton gang, were taken into custody, and all necessary legal measures have been taken against them."
