President Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid extended his sincere condolences to the Islamic world on Friday, marking the anniversary of the martyrdom of Imam Ali (peace be upon him).
In a post on the X platform, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), the President stated: "On the anniversary of the martyrdom of Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib (peace be upon him), we extend our heartfelt condolences to the entire Islamic world. We recall his humanitarian legacy as a defender of the oppressed and a champion of justice and equality."
He added, "This solemn occasion reminds us all of the noble values that Imam Ali upheld throughout his life—defending the truth, promoting social justice, combating corruption, supporting the oppressed, and serving the people."
