Minister of Electricity Ziyad Ali Fadhil stressed on Monday the importance of seizing available opportunities to contribute to projects to develop and modernize the energy sector's infrastructure. Meanwhile, the Spanish Ambassador to Iraq announced her country's readiness to contribute to the development of the energy sector in Iraq.
A statement from the Ministry of Electricity received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): reported that "Minister of Electricity Ziyad Ali Fadhil received the Spanish Ambassador to Iraq, Alicia Rico, and discussed with her ways to enhance cooperation between the two countries in the energy sector."
The Spanish Ambassador expressed "the desire of her country's companies specialized in renewable energy to operate in Iraq," stressing "the willingness of these companies to contribute to the development of the energy sector by offering their expertise and modern technologies."
For his part, the Minister of Electricity welcomed "the desire of Spanish companies," stressing "the importance of seizing available opportunities to contribute to projects to develop and modernize the Iraqi energy sector's infrastructure."
The Minister emphasized that "Iraq seeks to strengthen its international partnerships to develop the energy sector, keeping pace with current challenges and achieving sustainability in this vital sector."
