Al-Sudani directs governors to declare holidays only for genuine and compelling reasons

    Prime Minister Mohammed S. Al-Sudani instructed all governors on Tuesday, to ensure that official holidays are declared only based on genuine and compelling reasons, particularly during weather fluctuations, and especially concerning the suspension of school attendance.
     
    “PM Al-Sudani emphasized the importance of ensuring sufficient time for the completion of educational curricula and adhering to the established academic calendar,” stated the Iraqi Government Spokesman Basim Alawadi.
