The Karkh Criminal Court issued on Monday, a life sentence against a terrorist criminal who detonated an explosive device on security forces in 2013.
"The Karkh Criminal Court issued a life sentence against a terrorist criminal for the crime of detonating an explosive device on an Iraqi army patrol south of Baghdad in 2013, wounding two," the judiciary said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
The statement added, "The verdict was issued against the terrorist based on the provisions of Article IV/1 and in accordance with Article II/7 of the Anti-Terrorism Law No. 13 of 2005, with inference from the provisions of Article 132/1 of the Penal Code."
