Turkey's monthly inflation rate leveled up to more than expected 5.03% in January, while annual inflation fell to 42.12%.
Data from the Turkish Statistical Institute showed that "the largest monthly increase in prices in January came in the health, goods and services sectors, followed by the education and housing sectors.
The data showed that the education, housing and health sectors contributed to the rise on an annual basis.
The data showed that "the domestic producer price index leveled up 3.06% every month in January, 27.20% on an annual basis."
The monthly inflation rate was higher than expected, reaching 4.35%, and was a sharp increase from 1.03% in December.
