The Ministry of Electricity detailed on Friday, its plan to prepare for the summer, indicating that the plan is accelerated and operates on a 24-hour system.
The spokesman for the Ministry of Electricity, Ahmed Musa, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "Prime Minister Muhammad Shia Al-Sudani supervises the field plan of the Ministry of Electricity to prepare for the summer," pointing out that "there is great interest by the Prime Minister in this file by providing financial allocations and granting powers to the ministry in order to complete the plan rapidly in preparation for the summer."
He added that "in addition to this accelerated plan, there is a strategic line, which is embodied in qualitative projects that will achieve leaps in energy production, including large and qualitative projects to increase production plants."
Musa pointed out that "the accelerated plan that the Ministry of Electricity is working on consists of three shifts, i.e. a 24-hour work amount, which is an accelerated step to complete the readiness of the stations to produce energy, and that the programmed and periodic maintenance is complete so that the stations are fully prepared."
He stressed that "the plan to prepare for the summer is going well, harmonious and escalating, stressing the need to be reassured by the presence of gas and sufficient fuel to operate the stations until the plan achieves its goals next summer."
