Iraqi Minister of Culture, Tourism and Antiquities, Abdul Amir Al-Hamdani, called on Tuesday for the establishment of an Association for the protection of relics of antiquity and prevent smuggling them abroad.
In a sideline speech he gave during the opening of the 12th International Tourism Fair in Iran, which was attended by the INA correspondent, Al-Hamdani suggested establishing an association by countries of origin, such as China, India, Iran and Iraq, that facilitates cooperation for the protection of relics and prevent smuggling them abroad.
