Interior Minister Abdul Amir Al-Shammari revealed today, Sunday, a special strategy for work during 2025 regarding combating drugs.
A statement by the ministry received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) stated that "Interior Minister Abdul Amir Al-Shammari chaired today a meeting of the ministry's opinion body with the attendance of most of its members during the meeting, the agenda presented in it was discussed and appropriate decisions were taken regarding it, while the attendees discussed a number of topics presented to develop security and service work in all joints and formations of the ministry."
Al-Shammari stressed, according to the statement, "the intensification of intelligence efforts in all areas of responsibility, stressing "the interest in the international border file, especially since the situation in the border strip is reassuring."
The Minister of Interior stressed "the follow-up of the work of police stations, and the completion of electronic automation as it is a very important matter," directing "all leaders to be present in the field and know the special needs of their units and follow up on all areas under their responsibility."
It explained that "there is a special strategy for work during the year 2025 in combating drugs and psychotropic substances."
