Syrian state TV officially announces the fall of Al-Assad regime

Syrian state television announced, on Sunday, the fall of AL- Assad regime.

Two Syrian military officers told Reuters on Sunday that President Bashar al-Assad had left the country on a plane to an unknown destination.

However, Syrian Prime Minister Mohammad Ghazi al-Jalali appeared in a video message to reassure the public, stating that he was still at his residence and had no plans to leave Syria.

“I am one of you, and you are one of me. I remain at home due to my loyalty to this country, and I do not know any country other than my own,” he said.

Al-Jalali also expressed his commitment to the nation’s public institutions, emphasizing that they belong to all Syrians, not any one individual. “We extend our hand to every Syrian citizen who cares for this nation’s resources,” he stated.

He urged rational thinking, adding, “We even extend our hand to the opposition who have shown willingness to refrain from harming any Syrian citizen.”
