The UN Special Envoy to Syria, Geir Pedersen, called on Saturday for calm and avoiding bloodshed in Syria.
"The situation in Syria is changing every minute," said Pederson in press statements - followed up by the Iraqi News Agency - INA, calling for "immediate political talks in Geneva to implement international resolution 2254."
Pederson also called for "calm in Syria and avoiding bloodshed and protecting civilians."
