PM: Iraq not to be part of sanctions system against Iran or any other peoples

    Iraq’s Prime minister, Adil Abdul Mehdi, renewed on Wednesday, the assertion that Iraq would not be part of sanctions system against Iraq or any other people, hailing the developed ties between the two neighboring countries.

     According to a statement by the PM office, and INA received a copy of, said that Abdul Mehdi received the Governor of Iran’s Central Bank, Abdul Nassir Hemmati, and his accompanying delegation, pointing that ties between the two neighboring countries and aspects of developing them were discussed.

    The statement added that PM Abdul Mehdi stressed on Iraq’s ability to defeat Daesh terrorist gangs, thanks to the sacrifices and heroism of the Iraqi people and the support of friend countries, and on top, is the Islamic Republic of Iran, adding that Iraqi pople suffered under the sanctions and that Iraq would not be part of sanctions system against Iraq or any other people.

    For his part, the Iranian official conveyed, during the meeting, greeting of the Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, and his first deputy.
