Planning Minister discuss understanding memorandum with turkey

     Nouri Al-Dulaimi discussed on Tuesday with Turkish ambassador to Iraq Fateh Yildiz and his companion delegation the mutual inspection of goods mechanisms and enhancing ways which serve the two countries.

       The meeting, which was attended by Zafar Sweilo, president of the Turkish Accreditation Foundation, and Saad Abdel Wahab, head of the Central Organization for Standardization and Quality Control of Iraq. Dulaimi stressed the importance of signing a memorandum of understanding to enhance the economic cooperation and investment between the two countries.   

    On the other hand, Dulaimi pointed to the project to establish 6 modern laboratories at the border crossings for the purpose of ensuring the quality and safety of imported goods and conformity with local and international standards.

    For his part, the Turkish ambassador said that Ankara ready to provide all kinds of support possible to Iraq, noting "full cooperation with the Iraqi authorities concerned in the inspection and examination of products and goods entering Iraq.
