The Ministry of Culture confirmed on Monday that Iraq is ahead of Arab and regional countries in the field of translated publications.

"The ministry has adopted the digital path, whether in translation, archiving, printing, and others. We are keen to provide the infrastructure to launch into the spaces of the digital world," said the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture, Nofal Abu Raghif, to the Iraqi News Agency - INA.

He noted, "Iraq was and still is a pioneer in translation with the latest that the world has reached, which made us regionally and Arab ahead of other countries; since the seventies, Iraq has been in contact with translation and absorbing the latest global proposals and publications until this moment."

"There were delays that the state suffered from in general, but the Ministry of Culture remained in touch with this aspect, by strengthening the role of government translation and updating its means digitally, such as Dar Al-Mamoun for Translation and Publishing, the General Department of Cultural Affairs, and other translation sectors affiliated with the state, not detached from the supportive civil effort, but rather the visions expand to global protocols regarding knowledge exchange, through digital translation," he included.
