The head of the State of Law Coalition, Nouri al-Maliki, confirmed today, Monday, that the position of the International Criminal Court in criminalizing the Prime Minister of the Zionist entity, Benjamin Netanyahu, and his Minister of Defense, is historic and courageous, while stressing the necessity of agreeing to submit a draft of the elections law.

Al-Maliki said in a speech, followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The position of the International Criminal Court in criminalizing Netanyahu and his Minister of Defense is historic and a courageous position that should be recorded for it," calling on "international institutions to restore respect for international law and hold accountable the perpetrators of crimes in the Zionist entity."

Al-Maliki added that "the supporters of the Zionist entity reject the right of the Palestinians to defend their land against the Zionists," indicating that "the peoples, even in the countries that support the occupation, stand with Palestine."

He added that "the decision of the International Criminal Court has triumphed for the community and international law."

Regarding the election law, Al-Maliki stressed that "it is necessary to agree on submitting a draft of the election law, and it is necessary to clarify the election system, whether it is a single district or multiple districts, and whether there are early elections."

He stressed that "the issue of adopting the unified card in the elections or the biometric card must be resolved," noting that "participation in the elections is a duty and not just a right, because the stability of the state depends on it."

Al-Maliki called on "citizens to prepare the biometric card to participate in the elections, he also called on political blocs, government officials, and representatives to legislate laws related to the commission and electoral work," demanding "the commission to expedite the granting of the biometric card to citizens."
