The head of the National Wisdom Movement, Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakim, confirmed today, Sunday, to the US Ambassador to Iraq, Elena Romanowski, that Iraq's stability is important for the stability of the region and the world.
Al-Hakim stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "we met today with the US Ambassador to Baghdad, Elena Romanowski, on the occasion of the near end of her duties in Iraq, and we wished her success in her upcoming tasks. We also discussed with her strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries, and we explained that Iraq now has a pioneering experience in the democratic path, and it must be preserved and strengthened."
Al-Hakim stressed according to the statement that "the statement of the supreme authority represents a roadmap for Iraq and the political forces," stressing "Iraq's role in reducing escalation in the region, and the importance of its openness to the countries of the region and the world based on its national interests."
He continued that "Iraq's stability is important for the stability of the region and the world," stressing "the necessity of seeking to stop the war in Gaza and Lebanon, holding the international community responsible for providing relief to the displaced and rebuilding cities."
