The President of the Republic receives the credentials of the ambassadors of Canada, Ukraine, Italy and India

    The President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, received today, Sunday, the credentials of the ambassadors of Canada, Ukraine, Italy and India.
     
    The media department of the Presidency of the Republic stated, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "President of the Republic Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid received, in Baghdad Palace, in the presence of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Fuad Hussein, the credentials of the new ambassadors of Canada Christopher Boehm, Ukraine Ivan Dovahing, Italy Nicolo Fontana, and India Suman Bagchi."
     
      "During the meetings, which took place with the ambassadors separately, the nature of bilateral relations between Iraq and their countries and the means to advance them were discussed."
     
    The President of the Republic stressed, according to the statement, that "Iraq's foreign policy is based primarily on mutual respect and constructive cooperation that strengthens relations and achieves common interests."
     
    Rashid expressed his support for "the new ambassadors to make their work a success," wishing "them success and guidance in performing their diplomatic duties in Iraq." 
     
    In turn, the ambassadors expressed their thanks and appreciation to the President of the Republic, and his keenness to facilitate the performance of their duties, expressing their countries' aspiration to strengthen relations with Iraq to include various fields.
