The Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) stressed on Wednesday that the census is not a partisan issue, but rather a general and national, calling on everyone to be present in their areas of origin and participate in it.
PUK spokesman Saadi Bireh said in his speech during a press conference in Erbil, attended by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "We held good elections and they took place smoothly and there was political maturity during the election campaigns, and a large percentage of citizens participated in the elections and gave them credibility and legitimacy."
Bireh added that "the general census will take place on the twentieth of this month, which is not a partisan issue, but general and national," calling on "everyone to be present in their areas of origin and participate in it."
