Prime Minister Mohammed Shiaa al-Sudani stressed on Sunday, the importance of the European Union countries pressuring to stop the war on Gaza and Lebanon.
The Prime Minister's media office stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the Prime Minister received the new Czech Ambassador Jan Snaidauf."
The statement added, "The Prime Minister congratulated the Ambassador on assuming his duties in Iraq they also discussed bilateral relations between the Czech Republic in particular, and the European Union in general, and ways to develop and advance them in various fields, in a way that achieves common interests."
The Prime Minister stressed, according to the statement, "the importance of the European Union countries working to pressure to stop the war on Gaza and Lebanon, and the need to deliver urgent relief and humanitarian aid, to limit the serious repercussions caused by the war on the region and the world."
