President of the Republic Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid discussed with the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Iraq, Anil Bora Inan, today, Wednesday, the regional situation, its developments, and the continuation of the Zionist aggression on Palestine and Lebanon.
The media department of the Presidency of the Republic said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): that "President of the Republic Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid received in Baghdad, the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Iraq, Anil Bora Inan."
"The meeting reviewed the bilateral relations between the two friendly countries and the mechanisms for strengthening it, as well as the regional situation, its developments, and the continuation of the Zionist aggression on Palestine and Lebanon."
The President of the Republic called according to the statement to "strengthen common understandings and adopt dialogue as a basis for resolving the outstanding issues between the two neighboring countries," stressing "the importance of continuing joint efforts to enhance security and stability and continue coordination with the aim of sparing the region and its peoples the negative repercussions of the continuation of the Zionist attacks."
For his part, the Turkish ambassador expressed "his country's keenness to enhance coordination and joint cooperation with Iraq," explaining that "the course of those relations is witnessing a positive development in many aspects and fields."
