The Secretary-General of the State of Law Coalition, Nouri al-Maliki, confirmed on Tuesday that Iraq took a courageous stance with the Palestinian and Lebanese peoples in the battle of truth against the Zionists.
"Iraq has proven that it is with the confrontation and stood against the terrorist Daesh gangs, and the courageous fatwa of the supreme authority, Sayyed Ali Al-Sistani, decided the position and confirmed that steadfastness is through awareness," said Al-Maliki in a press conference held during a gathering of dignitaries and tribes from all Iraqi governorates to support the resistance and to support the people of Gaza and Lebanon, attended by the reporter of the Iraqi News Agency - INA.
He added, "The blood of the two martyrs, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah and Hashim Safi al-Din, and the martyrs of Palestine confirmed the cohesion between the peoples and exposed the claims of the countries supporting the Zionists that claim human rights and freedoms."
"The battles will continue until victory," said Al-Maliki, offering his thanks to the Iraqi people for their courageous stand with Gaza and Lebanon and their support for all stages of the conflict against the Zionists."
He explained that "the position of Iraq and the Iraqis in supporting the Palestinian and Lebanese people in their battle against the Zionists is a courageous position and the resistance is exercising its national and legitimate responsibility and role", noting that "when we move and struggle, we do not move from a nothing, but rather we have a divine promise to enter Al-Aqsa and this is a divine promise", calling on the tribes at the same time to protect Iraq and "repel evil from it."
