The Chargé d’Affaires ad interim of the Permanent Mission of Iraq to the United Nations, Abbas Kazem Obeid, has firmly stated that Iraq will not permit the use of its airspace and territory for acts of aggression against other nations.

In a statement delivered before the United Nations Security Council, followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), Obeid noted that "the Security Council has not taken decisive measures to halt the Israeli aggressions."

He further warned, "We have previously cautioned against the ongoing aggressive behavior of the Israeli entity," highlighting that "the Israeli occupation has violated Iraqi airspace and sovereignty during its aggression against Iran."

He reiterated, "We will not allow the use of Iraqi airspace and territory for acts of aggression against other nations," emphasizing the necessity for the Security Council to assume its responsibilities and immediately enforce a ceasefire in Gaza and Lebanon.
