Iraq: South Korea will provide us with advanced military systems

The spokesman for the Iraqi government, Basim Al-Awadi, confirmed on Monday that Iraq is continuing its efforts to stop the Zionist aggression on Gaza and Lebanon.

"The government is seeking steps to strengthen Iraqi sovereignty. Iraq has not abandoned its responsibilities in the region and the world," said 
Al-Awadi in a statement to Al-Iraqiya News TV - followed up by the Iraqi News Agency - INA.

He added that "Iraq is continuing its efforts to stop the Zionist aggression on Gaza and Lebanon. The security of Iraq and the region is a priority, and the government is focusing its efforts on stopping the war."

"There is an international movement to stop the Zionist aggression and there are encouraging signs. What happened in terms of breaching Iraq's airspace in the attack on Iran is a sinful attack," he included.

Al-Awadi added that "the Iraqi government succeeded in ending the tasks of the international coalition," explaining that "South Korea will provide us with advanced military systems early next year."

"The government is working to develop and enhance air defense capabilities," he highlighted.
