The Joint Operations Command announced today, Saturday, the discovery of 4 bodies of terrorists who were killed yesterday in Salah al-Din.
A statement by the Security Media Cell received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) stated that: "Following our statement yesterday, Friday, regarding the air strike carried out by Iraqi F16 aircraft in the "Balkanah" sector east of Salah al-Din, and with the first light of dawn today, Saturday, a force under the supervision of the commander of the operations east of Salah al-Din from the heroes of the Special Forces with a field presence from its commander and the brave zealous elements of the Military Intelligence Directorate and with technical monitoring and follow-up by the targeting cell in the Joint Operations Command, began searching the site of the successful air strike, and found (4) bodies of terrorists. The force was also able to dismantle (3) explosive belts, in addition to finding various weapons, logistical materials, devices, criminal evidence and other materials inside a profound tunnel in one of the mountains, which was targeted by the protectors of the homeland's sky, the Falcons of the Air Force, with a precise and qualitative strike."
The statement added that "these preemptive operations, which are based on accurate intelligence information, had impressive, high-level results in eliminating the remaining defeated remnants of the terrorist gangs," stressing that "the security forces will make the land narrow for ISIS and its leadership as long as we have men armed with the love of Iraq."
