The Ministry of Migration and Displacement announced today, Sunday, the return of 90 percent of the displaced to their areas of residence, while indicating that there is a package of encouraging programs to support the return.

The ministry's spokesman, Ali Abbas, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): that "The ministry is dealing with several files that include the deported, and the displaced, and has given priority to displacement considering that its impact on Iraqi society is greater in terms of social, economic, and political aspects."
He added, "The ministry has provided a lot in this file, whether at the level of the camps or at the level of the gatherings that the displaced went to, and the return was achieved for approximately 85-90% of the displaced who returned to their areas, with the exception of those who wished to remain in the areas of displacement considering that they adapted to the new situation and obtained job opportunities and engaged with society and opened new projects, including in the central and southern regions of Iraq in Karbala and Najaf, as well as in Erbil and Baghdad."
He pointed out that "the issue of integration and stability in displacement areas is one of the solutions to end this file."
