CTS : Notorious Drug Trafficker Killed in Diwaniya, Another Arrested in Dhi Qar

    The Counter-Terrorism Service-CTS announced today, Friday, the killing of one of the most dangerous drug traffickers in Diwaniya and the arrest of another in Dhi Qar.

    In a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency-INA, CTS noted that "as part of its efforts to combat the scourge of drugs, the Counter-Terrorism Service carried out a targeted operation to apprehend one of the most notorious drug traffickers in Diwaniya province."

    The statement added that "the suspect refused to surrender to the arresting force, and following confrontations, CTS units succeeded in killing him in Diwaniya province."

    Furthermore, it reported that "in another operation, CTS units managed to arrest a drug trafficker in Dhi Qar province."
