Al-Sudani Inspects the Progress of the Australian Hospital Project in Baqubah

    Media Office of the Prime Minister said in a statemnet obtained by the Iraqi News Agency INA that Prime Minister Mohammed S. Al-Sudani conducted a field visit today, Wednesday, to the Australian Hospital project in eastern Baqubah, the capital of Diyala, during his trip to monitor and inaugurate several service projects.

    The statement read "The Prime Minister toured the project site, reviewing the project progress and execution stages. He emphasized that companies undertaking service and strategic projects must adhere to the established timelines and should not delay the work under any circumstances. He stated that delays are unacceptable, regardless of the reasons, and reaffirmed the government's commitment to eliminating any causes of project delays and ensuring timely completion."

    It also said "The Australian Hospital project has a capacity of 400 beds and is being executed by a specialized Australian company. It has been a delayed project since 2008, but work resumed as part of the government's initiative to address delayed projects. The project has now reached 27% completion."

    The statement further said "The hospital consists of five floors, an outpatient clinic, and various specialized departments to handle different medical conditions. It also includes a 40-bed emergency ward and other medical service sections."
