GCC States Call for Ending War in Gaza

    The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) has called for a permanent cessation of hostilities in Gaza and the implementation of the Taif Agreement outcomes concerning Lebanon.

    In a statement following an extraordinary meeting of GCC member states, it was emphasized that "a ceasefire in Gaza must be established, along with the enforcement of Resolution 1701 and the outcomes of the Taif Agreement regarding Lebanon." The council reaffirmed its support for efforts aimed at achieving a ceasefire in Gaza.

    The GCC also underscored the central importance of the Palestinian cause and the need to end the occupation.
