Iraqi national youth team will face its Qatari counterpart at 6:30 pm on Saturday, in Doha, Qatar.
"The youth team will meet its Qatari counterpart in a friendly match as part of its training camp held there in preparation for the Asian qualifiers," according to a statement by the Football Association - received by the Iraqi News Agency - INA.
The statement added that "the youth team underwent the last training session, last Friday, in Doha, Qatar in preparation for today's friendly match against its Qatari counterpart at 18:30 BGT, with the presence of the Iraqi national team striker and professional at Al-Khor Club in Qatar, Ayman Hussein, as part of his support for the youth team players.
The Asian qualifiers consist of 10 groups, the champion of each group qualifies for the 2025 finals, in addition to the best five teams that obtain second place, and if the host qualifies, the best 6 will become in second place, as the draw placed the youth team in Group Five, along with the teams of China, Taipei, Palestine and Uzbekistan.
