Speaker of Iraqi Parliament Mohammed al-Halbusi recommended to bring the CBI; Central Bank of Iraq; to the meetings of the Parliamentary Financial Committee meeting.
He also called to put an end to the concept of making Acting Ministers and to support the private sector as well as increasing the Non-Oil revenues in the General Budget.
This came during his meeting with Parliamentary Financial Committee on Wednesday.
The meeting came to discuss the General Budget of 2019, the foreign borrowing, KRG and Peshmerga allocations, in addition to the situations of ministries’ incomes in the Budget.
“The General Budget is highly important to Iraqis and the amendments must be into the interests of the people,” said al-Halbusi.
He expressed the government readiness to cooperate with the Parliament and the financial committee in terms of the budget and to solve the disputes between the two sides regarding some items in this law.
