Speaker of the Parliament Muhammed al-Halbusi and the British Ambassador to Iraq Jon Wilks discussed the mutual relations between the two countries and the means to enhance it.
Al-Halbusi asserted the importance of the international support to Iraq in the investment sector and reconstructing the damaged areas due to Daesh terrorist groups as well as in the cases of the IDPs and the means to help them return to their homelands.
“We look forward to a big contribution from the befriended countries including the United Kingdom,” said al-Halbusi.
He also explained that the next period requires collecting all the needed efforts to stand by Iraq that underwent a fierce war against terrorism.
On the hand, the British Ambassador to Iraq confirmed his country’s readiness to support the Iraqi government and the Iraqi people as well as offering support for many important sector and fields.
