The Joint Operations Command announced today, Friday, the killing of a terrorist detachment in Diyala Operations Command Sector in an airstrike carried out by the Air Falcons using F16 aircraft.
A statement by the command received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) said: "In continuation of the security work carried out by our heroic armed forces in pursuing the remaining elements of the terrorist ISIS gangs, and through the distinguished intelligence and technical effort carried out by the Military Intelligence Directorate for three days, with planning, follow-up and supervision by the targeting cell in the Joint Operations Command, and at 19:00 on Friday, after completing all requirements and identifying targets, the Air Falcons carried out a successful airstrike using F16 aircraft in Hamrin Mountains within the Diyala Operations Command Sector, targeting a terrorist hideout with a terrorist detachment consisting of 3 elements inside."
