The prime minister gives orders about the pilgrimage in Najaf

    The Prime Minister, Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani, directed the integration of the service and security efforts during the pilgrimage commemorating the martyrdom of the Prophet (PBUH).  
     
    The Prime Minister's Media Office said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that "Prime Minister and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani paid a visit to the headquarters of the Joint Operations Command to follow up on securing a pilgrimage commemorating the martyrdom of the Great Prophet (peace be upon him) in Najaf."
     
    The Prime Minister was briefed, according to the statement, on "a report presented by the Chairman of the Supreme Security Committee and the Minister of Interior, via a video conference, on the preparations that ensure the smooth performance of the pilgrimage, and the ease of transportation and delegation of pilgrims, and the Deputy Commander of Joint Operations gave a briefing on the procedures and the security plan, as well as the Governor of Najaf, the head of the Hajj and Umrah Authority, responsible for the transport file, the head of the service committee, and a number of field commanders, briefings to the Prime Minister on the same path, to secure all the requirements for dealing with the large numbers that come to the shrine of Imam Ali bin Abi Talib (peace be upon him)."  
     
    The Prime Minister stressed, according to the statement, "the importance of adhering to the professional aspects and applying the law in a way that rises to the importance of the occasion, and within all sections of tasks and duties, and that service efforts are integrated with the security effort to provide the best positive image confirmed by Iraqis with their generosity and dedication, and reveal the reality of stability, and facilitate the movement of the masses of visitors coming from various provinces of Iraq."
     
    He pointed out that "the distinguished efforts witnessed by the pilgrimage to commemorate the Arbaeen of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, and the accompanying success and regularity, must be invested in all its joints to secure the this pilgrimage, and to supplement and strengthen the work of the Supreme Committee for the Million people  pilgrimages," pointing to "the need for vital integration in the aspects of command and control between the security units, and adherence to directives, and overcoming the negatives within a comprehensive vision that adopts prior preparations."   
     
    The Prime Minister also valued "all the great and sincere efforts that presented the interest of Iraq in the first place, and sought to meet the aspirations of its people and sons, and the constants of these great occasions, above all considerations."
