Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto held talks today, Friday, with the head of the Russian company Gazprom, Alexei Miller, to ensure natural gas supplies from Russia to Hungary in the next heating season.
"In about a month, in early October, a new gas year and heating season will begin, and our task is now clear: to ensure that Hungarian homes are heated," the Hungarian foreign minister said in press statements.
"Hungary is satisfied with energy cooperation with Russia, as this cooperation is one of the keys to the country's energy security," Szijjarto added.
