The Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Hussein Ibrahim Taha, condemned today, Wednesday, the war crimes and genocide of the Zionist entity and its attacks that threaten regional and international peace and security.
In a speech during the opening session of the extraordinary meeting at the level of foreign ministers of the member states of the organization "to discuss the ongoing crimes of the Zionist occupation against the Palestinian people and its aggression against the sovereignty of the Islamic Republic of Iran," the Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation expressed his strong condemnation of "the daily war crimes and genocide committed by the occupation against the Palestinian people in Gaza Strip and the West Bank, including the occupied city of Jerusalem, the latest of which was the heinous assassination of Ismail Haniyeh, head of the political bureau of Hamas."
The Secretary-General stressed that "the occupation's persistence in these crimes constitutes an insistence by Israel, the occupying power, in violating all international norms, laws and resolutions, and constitutes an assault on Iran’s sovereignty and national security, in flagrant violation of the principles of international law and the provisions of the United Nations Charter."
Hussein Ibrahim Taha also called on the active parties of the international community to "engage in sponsoring a political process to end the occupation and achieve peace based on the vision of the two-state solution in accordance with international legitimacy resolutions."
